How Are You?

When life becomes overwhelming, it’s difficult to find a way forward. We often feel stretched too thin, juggling work, relationships, finances, and everything else that demands our attention.

At times like these, it is important to take a step back and take some time to breathe. Asking yourself a few key questions can help you regain your bearings and establish new perspectives on your current situation.

Some of the most important questions might include: What are you struggling with right now? What are your biggest priorities in life? And how do you want to move forward from here?

By honestly reflecting on these questions, you can navigate the ebbs and flows of life with more confidence and purpose.

So remember: While life may be hectic at times, taking the time to pause and reconnect with yourself is always worth the effort.

There is no doubt that at one time or another, everyone will struggle with feelings of overwhelm.

Whether it’s a crushing work deadline, family responsibilities, or general life stressors, it can be difficult to keep your head up when life seems to pile on the pressure.

However, there are several strategies that you can use to help manage those feelings of being overwhelmed and pushing through even the toughest situations.

Wait, am I forgetting to actually take care of MYSELF as well? Am I even doing anything to help myself at this difficult time? Am I allowing myself to take a break and release all the tension that’s accumulating all the time?”

👏 Being an adult doesn’t mean you always have to be on the clock. In fact, one of the best pieces of advice for anyone feeling overwhelmed is to take a time out!

That’s right, set aside some time each day to do something for yourself that has nothing to do with work or your other obligations.

Take a long relaxing shower, go for a walk in nature, watch a funny movie, or read your favorite book. Just 20-30 minutes of “me time” can help you relax and put things into perspective. So go ahead and give yourself a break. You deserve it!

💪 Exercise is one of the most effective tools for managing feelings of overwhelm and stress. Whether you’re feeling stressed out at work, dealing with a personal crisis, or simply too bogged down in your daily routine, regular exercise can help to lift your mood, relieve physical pain, and give you the energy you need to keep going.

One of the key benefits of exercise is that it releases endorphins into the bloodstream – powerful chemicals that stimulate positive feelings and ward off negative ones.

By getting active regularly, you can ensure that you have ample amounts of these feel-good hormones circulating throughout your body.

So, if you’re feeling stressed or overwhelmed, lace up your sneakers and head out for a brisk walk or jog – no matter how short or simple it may seem.

The environment you live or work in can affect your mood and stress you out. On the other hand, cleaning at least a little makes most people feel a little better.

So, if you’re feeling overwhelmed with life, bringing some order and tidiness into it might be a great idea. You don’t have to go on a full organize + declutter + clean mode, but cleaning up a little will definitely help.

Not to mention, it’ll be one less thing on your to-do list! And we all know how satisfying it is to check things off our lists.

So go ahead and tackle that pile of laundry, or wash the dishes that have been sitting in the sink for a few days.

Even just making your bed in the morning can make a big difference in how your day goes. And who knows, you might even enjoy it! (We doubt it, but it’s worth a shot.)

Our talents and gifts are often hidden away, like little seeds planted inside us. But when we take the time to explore them, we can begin to see the unique gifts that God has given us.

Perhaps you’re a gifted soccer player or a strategic thinker. Maybe you have a way with words that motivates others to action.

Whatever your gifts may be, they are meant to be used for good. When we use our gifts to bless others, we are living out our God-given purpose.

So take some time to consider your talents and gifts. What are you good at? What do you enjoy doing? These can be clues to help you discover your God-given purpose.
